ABOUT
THE COLLECTOR
Born in Israel in 1941, Michael Dezer graduated from a technical
high school there and began his lifelong love affair with
automobiles and other vehicles. As a teenager, he journeyed
through 10 European countries on his 1957 Vespa scooter.
His first car was a 1949 Plymouth, which is exhibited
in the resorts collection. After his emigration to America,
while working on his BBA and MBA degrees in marketing, Dezer
began to collect classic American cars and participated
in the 1986 Great American Race. At one time, he owned the
largest and most prized collection of post-war American
convertibles (approximately 500 vehicles).
